Handwriting Engraving Best Practice Guidelines

  • For the clearest result, we recommend a maximum of 3 words per line.
  • Try to keep your message to a maximum of 3 lines – approximately 9 words in total.
  • Use a dark pen on plain white paper wherever possible.
  • Photograph the handwriting in good natural light and make sure the image is clear and in focus.
  • You can upload handwriting, a signature, short message, date or simple drawing.
  • We will carefully clean up and scale your artwork while preserving the character of the original handwriting.
  • Fewer words generally produce a stronger engraving, as each word can be engraved larger and with greater detail.

Warranty & Hassle-Free Returns

Two-Year International Warranty

We like to look after our customers so we go above and beyond with our returns policy. Life is already complex enough, we keep things simple and no receipt is required.

We offer a two-year international warranty on all watches. The warranty does not cover wear and tear on the strap, battery life, glass breakage and/or battery replacement. 

Due to the nature of engraved gifts, these cannot be exchanged or refunded unless faulty. 

All returns will be credited back to the same card they were purchased on.

In the case of faulty product, we will cover the costs of standard shipping of the replacement watch, within the United Kingdom.

Handwriting Engraving

What is handwriting engraving?

We can engrave the back of the watch with your own actual handwriting, a small picture or drawing or whatever you provide us with.

How does it work?

You write or draw what you would like engraved, take a clear photo of the writing and upload it or email it to us with your order. We will do the rest.

What if the image is not perfect?

We do require a clear photo of the writing but we do touch up the image with any imperfections and make small adjustments to the image to make the engraving perfect. We may also adjust the spacing by moving words slightly closer together if we think it will look better on the watch.

How large can the writing or image be?

It is best to keep in mind that the approximate engraving area on the back of the watch is 18mm high x 22mm wide. You can nicely fit about 7-9 words. The less words you have will mean the writing will be bigger. We recommend as less words as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to pay customs import charges if delivery is outside of the United Kingdom?

There is a chance that you will have to pay a customs tax when the item is delivered. The rules and regulations vary from country to country, therefore we recommend you check your local tax rules.

How quick can I get my watch?

We engrave & dispatch all watchs within 1-business day and all deliveries are tracked, meaning you can get your engraved watch very fast.

Can you engrave emoji's, symbols & different languages?

Yes. There is not much we can't engrave. If you want something specific, please just put the details in the notes at the checkout. We can also engrave most languages.

Can you engrave more characters than stated?

Yes. There is technically no limit. We put a limit in place as we think the size of the text for the recomendation is perfect. We can engrave more characters, it just means the text will be proportionally smaller. Just put a note in the cart notes (before the checkout) or email us with the request.
